Location and Directions

Fox Ridge Lane intersects Spurgeon Creek Road south of 83rd Avenue. The entrance to Fox Hill is on Fox Ridge Lane or about 1.8 miles along Spurgeon Creek Road from its intersection at Yelm Highway (Kelly’s Korner Texaco Station.)

Fox Hill is two miles from Olympia’s Amtrak Depot, Centennial Station, 15 minutes from Interstate 5 and 25 minutes from downtown Olympia. Children at Fox Hill attend the Tumwater or Yelm school districts.

Forest and Wildlife

There are places in the subdivision where you can get glimpses of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. Wildlife sightings are extremely common, including deer, elk, bear, hawks, toads, frogs, salamanders, rabbits, and coyotes. The subdivision is also near large amounts of forest lands that are part of Joint Base Lewis McChord.

Great People

Another unique feature is the great people who live there, tied closely together by a sense of community that is unusual in a suburban neighborhood. It is a diverse neighborhood that includes everyone from working families to retired couples.

Homeowners Association

Much of the adjacent acreage is managed by the homeowners’ association. The association directors are all residents of Fox Hill. The homeowners association maintains the gate, park space and common areas, and the single private road that loops through the community: Fox Ridge Lane Southeast.

The association also enforces covenants to protect the quality of living and appearance in the community. The subdivision has many of the features of a city, including street lights, fire hydrants and a park. It facilitates information and discussion about the community and promotes events and services that make Fox Hill a great place to live.
